Let the Slacking begin...

Wow, how time flies. Kyle was right when he said we'd be kicking ourselves for not keeping this updated. I'ts only been two weeks since my last post, but it certainly feels like I have slacked for much longer. During that time, both of the boys and I were sick. Poor Kian had it much worse than Jackson and I did. I know how crappy I feel having a fever for a short period of time. I can't even imagine how horrible he felt having it hang around for 5 days. He seemed so happy to get back to daycare and to be around other kids. It was a well known fact that mommy and daddy were ready to get back to work to remember what it feels like to not have a child attached to you. I know they don't weigh that much, but having them attached to you 24/7 is a killer!

It is starting to feel like we are getting back to normal, whatever that may be. Having gone through the holidays and then adding the sickness on top was very taxing. It's nice to know that we don't have all that much planned during the months of January and February. Between all the birthdays and holidays, it feels like we blur through September thru December. It was nice to round out the events with Brookly's 2nd birthday. Once we get there, it's smooth sailing. Unfortunately Kyle had to stay home with Kian to give him a little more time to recover, but Jackson and I had a great time. Brooklyn was absolutely adorable running around in her "Birthday Girl" shirt and eating her "pizze" as she calls it. Another one of my favorite parts was being able to hold little Miss Adalyn. She is so precious, according to Jackson. I am no one to disagree with that. I can't imagine life with a 3 month old at this time. I am glad we are past those days, only because we enjoy the boys' current stages so much now. Their personalities are ever-changing which never leaves us with a dull moment. I am sure one day I'll miss not having a baby around, but I'll be content with what we have now and keep chugging along.

I'll try to get around to posting more pictures of the boys shortly. Hopefully this time it won't take me another couple of weeks!

Until next time...lc
